How Booking Works

From finding a provider to leaving a review — here's everything that happens when you book a service on Proxio.

Find the right provider

  • Use the search bar on the homepage or go to Browse Services to explore by category.
  • Search by what you need — try keywords like "leaking tap", "garden tidy", or "electrician" — and results are ranked by relevance and rating.
  • Open any provider's profile to read reviews, see portfolio photos, check their certifications, and browse their listed services and prices.
  • Not sure yet? Send a Quick Quote message from any provider card to ask a question or request an estimate before committing.
Check the star rating and number of completed jobs for a quick trust signal.
The response-time badge shows how quickly a provider typically replies.
"Verified Hire" on reviews means the reviewer actually completed a paid booking.

Send a booking request

  • On a provider's profile, click Book Now and choose the service you need.
  • Pick your preferred date and time, add a description of the job, and include your contact details so the provider can reach you directly.
  • You can upload a photo of the problem (a leaking pipe, a broken fence, etc.) to help the provider arrive prepared and give you a more accurate quote.
  • Submit your request — the provider will receive an email notification straight away.
A clear photo of the issue can speed up the quote and reduce back-and-forth.
Add as much detail as possible in the notes field — it sets expectations from the start.

Provider confirms

  • The provider reviews your request and either confirms or declines it.
  • You'll receive an email for each status change, so you don't need to keep checking the dashboard.
  • If a different time works better, the provider can propose a reschedule — you'll be notified and can accept or decline from your dashboard.
  • Once confirmed, the booking appears in your dashboard under the Bookings tab with all the details.
Most providers respond within a few hours. Check your email for updates.

Get the job done

  • The provider shows up on the agreed date and completes the work.
  • When finished, the provider marks the booking as Completed in their dashboard and can add an optional job summary for your records.
  • You'll receive a completion email with the summary. The booking moves to your history in the dashboard.
Your contact details are only shared with the specific provider you booked.

Leave a review

  • After the job is completed, a Leave a Review button appears in your dashboard next to that booking.
  • Rate the provider out of 5 stars and add an optional comment about your experience.
  • Your review is visible on the provider's public profile and helps other customers make informed decisions.
  • The provider may post a public reply to your review.
All reviews carry a "Verified Hire" badge — customers can only review providers they've actually booked.
